Welcome to Unione Sportiva Italiana’s (USI) website! USI is one of the oldest cycling clubs in the United States and our membership spans the globe. We have a long tradition founded in New York City and ‘headquarters’ is located in the heart of southern Westchester County in Scarsdale, NY.
In 2008, we celebrated our 100th anniversary and are cycling our way into the next century with a variety of cycling communities. Our club has had several members inducted into the US Cycling Hall of Fame, produced National Champions, Olympians, as well as US Olympic committee members. USI also gives back to the community as members volunteer and participate in a variety of events throughout the year.
There is a ride for everyone as USI members have been cycling in the famous Gimbel’s Ride since its conception. The ride occurs every Saturday, Sunday and Holidays leaving promptly at 9:20 am from the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers, NY (in front of Macy’s, formerly Gimbel’s). Perhaps you’ve seen a group of 40 cyclists pedaling north on Central Avenue as you head out for your weekend and Holiday shopping? USI members cycle in other area local rides such as the ‘Unemployment Ride’ held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and the seasonal ‘Monday Night Ride’.
If you are interested in cycling then consider becoming a part of our cycling history and join USI. We look forward to seeing you out on the road!
Ride safe! Ciao!
